At the centre Latest news Centre becomes a 'Place of Welcome' Places of Welcome is a growing network of local community groups providing their neighbourhoods with places where all people feel safe to belong, connect and contribute. The Centre has made a commitment to offer friendship & hospitality; regular opening at the same time each week, free refreshments and local knowledge about the neighbourhood. The group will run on a Friday from 11am - 1pm, starting on 26th October 2018 and all are welcome. Robert Bruce, Chief Executive Offer at Dorothy Parkes Centre said: 'We're delighted to become an official Place of Welcome as it fits in with the ethos of the Centre. We will provide a lovely comfortable setting and a complimentary drink and biscuits. We would encourage anybody who may be new to the area or anybody who wants to make new friends and learn a bit more about the area to come along and find out more about what goes on here at Dorothy Parkes and also other local services available. We can't wait to get started!' Find out more about Places of Welcome here. If you would like to be actively involved in this group in a voluntary capacity then please enquire here.
