We are excited to announce that we have received funding from the This Girl Can and Sport England campaign to deliver FREE twice weekly fitness sessions for women!

The sessions will be delivered by local Personal Trainer and Women’s Fitness Expert Mel Bridger for a twelve month period.

Mel said "I’m really looking forward to delivering these sessions.  Women quite often overlook their own health, fitness and wellbeing so this campaign is going to be incredible as it will help so many people!"

The campaign is designed to help support inactive women in the local area.  These sessions will support women to become fitter through a combination of cardiovascular and resistance based training.

All abilities are welcome and sessions will end with a 15 minute talk around general health, fitness, diet & nutrition.

Launching on Tuesday 7th September, the sessions will be held at the Dorothy Parkes Centre on:

Tuesday’s 2pm – 3pm

Thursday’s 10am – 11am

CEO at Dorothy Parkes Centre, Rob Bruce, said "I am delighted that we have been able to secure funds for this programme to run for one year.  The Centre prides itself on providing opportunities for local people to improve their physical and mental health and the This Girl Can & Sport England funding enables us to offer this opportunity for women in the area at no cost to them.  I would like to thank the funders and thank Mel for her help & support."

The sessions are free, but spaces are limited so pre booking is essential. To book, please complete a registration form and a member of our administration team will contact you.
