JOB TITLE:                           Centre Administrator

SALARY:                               £8.76 per hour

LOCATION:                           Dorothy Parkes Centre, Smethwick

HOURS:                                32.5 hours per week (Monday – Friday)

RESPONSIBLE TO:                Chief Executive Officer


The Dorothy Parkes Centre is a community centre based in Smethwick. We are a registered charity & offer a place of welcome and opportunity for the local community. We have a great opportunity for an individual to join our team and play a key role in the development of our Centre.

The Centre Administrator’s role will be to ensure a proper flow of office procedures and support our Chief Executive Officer by carrying out common office duties. Maintain a positive and friendly company image by acting as the first line of contact to visitors, in person, online, and via telephone. The location of work will be the Dorothy Parkes Centre in Smethwick and the hours will be 9.30am – 4.30pm, Monday to Friday.

Applicants must be able to clearly demonstrate strong communication and customer service skills, IT skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. They must also demonstrate an understanding of key factors affecting the sustainability of small community projects & experience working with diverse communities.
