The group that meet every Monday at 12.30pm at the centre, have been in contact with WPC Jaymie Rogers who is asking members of the public to create the teddies so that they can be given to children they meet when they are called to deal with serious incidents.

If you would like to join the group you can just turn up on the day.  The cost is £3.00 per session, which includes a hot drink.  You can either bring your own projects to work on or they do have spare equipment you can use.

Chris Tanner, the volunteer who runs the group says “we are making these teddy bears to be used by the police when they visit families with devastating news.  If there are children in the family they leave them with a teddy bear.  So far we have 20 bears ready to take to Lloyd House Police Headquarters in Birmingham.”
