Get involved Volunteering Administration Volunteer Role Description for Administration Assistant Role Summary We are working in partnership with St Albans Community Centre and they require support with some general administration tasks which include filing, updating of spreadsheets, recording of information, setting up systems and general customer service. Main activities/tasks Contacting clients weekly General customer service Photocopying documents Data Collation Preparation of paperwork and menu collections Checking and recording payments of outmeals provision Updating spreadsheets Relevant experience/skills Customer service experience is preferable and confidence in dealing with people. Familiarity with basic word and excel would be advantageous. Support and training will be provided, and you will need to be proactive, work independently and as a team and take instructions. Training and support We have an induction process, during which we give volunteers the information we believe they need to enjoy their time with us. The Community Navigator will give volunteers any specific information they need before starting. Volunteers will have supervisions with the Community Navigator to allow them to give and receive feedback about their work. They are also encouraged to bring up any concerns or questions as soon as they arise and make an input into the overall development of our Centre. Availability General support is required any time between 9am – 4pm, Monday – Friday. A routine can be established and agreed with the Community Navigator.
