We are delighted to be announced as one of the 20 winners of the #WestonCharityAwards run in partnership with Garfield Weston Foundation. We will now receive an unrestricted grant of £6,500 and will be participating in a 10-month coaching Pilotlight Programme.

“We are thrilled that our ambition to continue developing our work in providing a safe place of welcome and opportunity, bringing people and organisations together in a spirit of friendship and equality, enabling our local community to thrive has been recognised in our selection as Weston Charity Award winner.

“We will seize this amazing opportunity to help us become more sustainable, serve more people, and get better at recording our impact so that we can keep making a positive difference to more people in Smethwick for many years to come.”

"I would like to thank everybody involved with The Dorothy Parkes Centre, our staff, volunteers, trustees, and beneficiaries for all of their support in helping us to achieve this recognition. It really is a proud moment for us all."
