The Dorothy Parkes Community Centre have been contacting local businesses with the aim of creating Crisis Bags/Care Packages that can be given to members of the community who are in need of them.

We are contacting these businesses in the hope that they can donate items such as Shampoo, Conditioner, Shower Gel, Toothpaste, Toothbrushes etc - the essentials!

One of our volunteers, Christeen Morton, has been ringing round asking for help and we are grateful for the positive response.

We would like to say a huge THANK YOU to Asda at Oldbury and the wonderful Corinna who was able to donate various items and also Asda Cape hill for their generous donation.

We were also in contact with Sainsbury's in Oldbury who kindly donated a variety of items.

We have also been able to get items from In Kind Direct who are a UK charity who distribute consumer goods that have been donated to them to charitable organisations such as ourselves.  As they say ‘These essential products will help keep communities clean and well when it is never more needed. #commUNITY’

Once the packages have been put together, we will be able to help vulnerable people who are referred to us by organisations that we work alongside.
