When did you start at DPC?

About 3 years ago.  I’m a big admirer of the Centre manager – Rob Bruce, and I support Community groups with funding applications and a mutual friend of ours asked if I would get involved, so we met and here I am.

What do you enjoy most about working at DPC?

Great people, great centre and a big positive influence on the local community.  Forever growing and reaching into the heart of local people.

What one thing would you change at DPC?

The acronym DPC – it sounds like a toilet cleaner!

What are your hobbies?

Sharing food with friends, football – I’m a big Spurs fan, gardening – I work as a volunteer at Birmingham Botanical Gardens.

What is your favourite film?

Leon – it’s a story about a hired killer and an 8 year old girl who he gets to meet on an assassination and how the innocence of a young child makes him think deeply about his profession.

What is your favourite food?

Italian or Indian Vegetarian

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Italy – Rome is a beautiful city and the countryside is beautiful

New Zealand – My best friend lives there so I have visited him on several occasions. Great outdoors facilities

What is your favourite book?

My Song – A memoir of Art, Race and Defiance by Harry Belafonte.  Forget his Calypso songs, he is one of the greatest people who has ever lived.

What makes you laugh?

My monthly pension allowance from her Majesty’s Government and currently The Mash Report on BBC television.

Tell us something interesting about yourself?

I have my own political party – The Nobody Party – and I have stood for parliament twice. My slogan - Vote for Nobody because Nobody Cares!
