The Dorothy Parkes Centre has recently been successful in receiving a grant from the Millennium Point Trust. The grant will allow us to work in partnership with Femtinos and deliver Science Workshops over a twelve-month period during the school holidays. We want to engage with primary school-aged children and parents who would not normally participate in such high-level learning and engagement. The shows will be designed to involve actual Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths (STEM) learning, not just a “wow” demonstration, but interactive opportunities and engagement for the families to explore science in a fun way, getting them to realise the vast scope of STEM beyond just the classroom.

Our next science shows will be held during the Half Term break and the theme will be WEATHER.  Fancy dress is optional with a weather theme - how about wearing a rainbow of colours? A rain coat?  Your wellies?  A sun hat?  Or something else......
