The Sandwell Volunteer Bi-annual Awards (now in their 7th Year) took place on Saturday 2nd June at the Hawthorns in West Bromwich. An audience of over 200 people from various groups and businesses across Sandwell gathered to celebrate the positive contributions of volunteers in Sandwell and celebrate their achievements. Health & Social Care, Community Organisation, Corporate, Environmental and Young Awards were presented and every volunteer nominated for an award picked up a certificate, presented by the Mayor of Sandwell and ex West Bromwich Albion player, Richard Sneekes.

Andrew Johnson who has volunteered at Dorothy Parkes Centre for a number of years, received a certificate for his services to the centre - Congratulations Andy!
