Yarn Bombing originated as a type of graffiti or street art that employs colourful dispalys of knitted or crocheted yarn rather than paint or chalk. It is also called Guerrilla knitting. The Dorothy Parkes Centre's knitting & crochet group meet on Mondays, 12.30pm - 2.30pm and is starting a summer project to "yarn bomb" the centre's entrance.

We want your help!

We need many idle hands and twitchy fingers to produce enough worked pieces for our unveiling at the annual Summer Fayre on Saturday 21st July. Whether you are a complete beginner or accomplished with your pins we will match you with a task to suit your level. You can either enjoy company and a cuppa at the group or contribute a piece you have done at home. Contact us for more details or come along to the group on a Monday.
