We’re so excited to announce that Global's Make Some Noise will be supporting the Dorothy Parkes Centre, helping us to change more lives.

Global's Make Some Noise improves lives by working with small and local charities across the UK.

The charity believes everyone deserves to feel safe, feel well, feel included and feel prepared. They work across four key areas: providing shelter and safety, supporting physical and mental health, preventing isolation and improving life skills.

The charity is keeping crucial services going, such as food banks, domestic abuse and mental health helplines, carer support, community projects and employment programmes.

Make Some Noise is proud to be a voice for small charities. They raise awareness of some of the biggest issues affecting our society by working with Global, the Media & Entertainment Group.

The Dorothy Parkes Centre is one of 40 charities in the UK which the appeal will be supporting in 2023.

The appeal day will be on Friday 6th October 2023

Global's Make Some Noise selected Dorothy Parkes Centre in the category for Improving Life Skills and described the Centre as:

'The Dorothy Parkes Centre is a community centre, based in Sandwell in the West Midlands, providing a wide range of services and support for local people focusing on wellbeing. The centre offers physical and outdoor activities, as well as youth and social groups. They also provide support surrounding employment, bereavement and cost of living. In an area of high deprivation, the charity offers a safe, warm, accessible space, with friendly staff and volunteers, helping to make a positive impact on people’s lives.'

We are extremely grateful for the support which will be offered by Global's Make Some Noise and we have some exciting plans for the funds which will be raised. Watch this space for further details!
