Parking / Transport The Dorothy Parkes Centre is a busy community centre, open seven days a week, often from 8am - 8pm. We enjoy providing a wide range of activities, services, projects, events and parties for our local community to enjoy and we attract an average of 750 visitors each week. Unfortunately, we are not blessed with a car park, and we are in the heart of a residential area, which means that visitors who travel via car need places to park. There is plenty of street parking available, particularly down Church Road along the perimeter of the Church grounds. We ask that all visitors consider our neighbours when parking and ensure that they do not block driveways or park on street corners which could obstruct drivers views. One area we must ask visitors NOT to park in is Chapel View, and the parking bays at the rear of the Centre. These parking bays are strictly for residents only and should any DPC users park there, they will be asked to move their car immediately. We also ask if you may consider public transport or walking/cycling to our venue. The Dorothy Parkes Centre is a 20 minute walk from Smethwick Rolfe Street train station and we are on the 89 bus route. The venue is also on a cycle route and has facilities for bikes at the Centre.
