On Saturday 14th October, we welcomed guests made up of trustees, staff, volunteers, service users, partners and special guests, to celebrate our achievements in 2022-23 and also 23 years of the DPC. Guest speakers included The Rt Revd Martin Gorick Bishop of Dudley, who was Vicar of Old Church Smethwick when the DPC opened, our current Chair of Trustees Paul Martin, Smethwick Councillor Parbinder Kaur, and volunteer Christeen Morton.

We were entertained by the amazing ‘Great Baldini’, who we sourced through our partnership with Black Country Touring, and enjoyed complimentary food and refreshments. It also gave us an opportunity to showcase our Celebration Report. The evening ended with a disco, thanks to Carl Harris, and everybody had a great time.

This was a great opportunity for the key stakeholders of the Dorothy Parkes Centre to all come together as one, sharing thoughts, stories, ideas, making friends and just having a great time together.

We look forward to our next big celebration which will take place in 2025 as we celebrate our 25th Birthday.
