Summer Fayre 2026 Raises Over £1,100 for the Community

Working in partnership with Smethwick Old Church, we welcomed families, friends, volunteers and community supporters for a fantastic day filled with fun, laughter and community spirit. Visitors enjoyed a wide range of activities, including a magic show, Punch & Judy, face painting, balloon modelling, games, tombolas, a raffle, refreshments, live entertainment and much more. 

We are delighted to announce that the Summer Fayre raised an amazing £1,125.87. As agreed, the proceeds have been shared equally between the Dorothy Parkes Centre and Smethwick Old Church, meaning £562.93 will come to the Centre to help support our ongoing running costs and the services we provide to the local community.

Events like this are only possible because of the generosity, enthusiasm and hard work of so many people. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to:

• Everyone who attended and supported the event
• Our wonderful volunteers who gave their time before, during and after the fayre
• The stallholders, performers and activity providers who helped create such a fun day
• Those who donated raffle prizes, tombola items and other contributions
• Our partners at Smethwick Old Church for their support and collaboration

The funds raised will help us continue providing a safe, welcoming space for local people and ensure that the Dorothy Parkes Centre can continue delivering activities, support services and community projects for those who need them most.
