The Dorothy Parkes Centre boasts a kitchen area measuring 6.7m x 3.2m with food preparation surfaces, three sinks, oven, mircowave, fridge, freezer, toaster and a hot water urn. Our kitchen was rated a 5 by the Food Standards Agency.

Our Centre used to run Take5 Cafe and the plans are to re-open a cafe facility if we can secure the relevant funding. In the meantime the kitchen is used to sell and serve refreshments such as tea, coffee, hot chocolate, cold drinks, biscuits, toast and homemade soup with a variety of flavours!

The kitchen area is used when people have parties to re-heat and serve food whilst some community groups use the kitchen area to deliver cooking classes and food hygiene training.
