'Together We Cook', offers cookery courses to the community; providing interactive fun sessions to teach individuals how to cook healthy meals from scratch.

We will use food grown on our award-winning allotment and additional items from a local food surplus project called Incredible Surplus and Fareshare.  All of the food used will be accessible and low cost so that they can be cooked again at home without lots of extra expense.

The aim of these sessions is to bring people together to learn new skills in a fun, relaxed environment, and taught in an informative way.

We hope that these sessions will encourage people to introduce more fruit and vegetables into their diet, and eat less processed food by cooking from scratch.

The areas that will be covered are:

  • Essential cooking skills
  • Feed your family for a fiver
  • Homegrown cooking week
  • Delete the meat (vegetarian/vegan options)
  • A cultural dish
  • A healthy dessert
  • Fakeaways
Details of upcoming sessions and dates will be published on our Events page when bookings are open.
