Allotment entrance

Hello fellow FOTA's,

A chilly old day down at the Community Allotment today.  Brrr!  Foxy has had a second go at nibbling into the polytunnel.  So... How to deter him?  After much research and asking folks, netting was a way forwards.  Today I have been doing my best to create an impregnable polytunnel.  Best wishes!  They're not called 'Wily' foxes for nothing!  We'll see.

Putting the plot to bed (excuse the pun!) for Christmas soon.  Things are looking good.  Lots has been achieved this year:  'Big Shed' classroom, performance space, large polytunnel, raised flower beds, lots of other parts cleared and prepared for next year.

Still to do: create less able growing area, 'kids zone, two sheltered seating areas, create the vegetable raised beds and.... get growing!

We've made lots of new friends and joined with some brilliant groups and agencies working with many and varied folks, both older, younger and, everything in between!

Lots of kind people have given us lots of help so far.  Many thanks to one and all.

However, if you fancy working off some Christmas pud or, you'd love some fresh air and gentle exercise as part of your New Year's Resolution, we'd love you to be part of the next phase of our exciting Community Allotment project.  My contact details are given below.

So, with a very big, Ho! Ho! Ho! and a Happy Christmas to one and all.

Very best wishes for 2020!

Karen
