Jodie Griffiths

Centre Administrator

When did you start at DPC?

At the end of October, so i'm one of the newbies at the centre, along with Ash!

What do you enjoy most about working at DPC?

Meeting the very many people who use the centre - there's so many I lose track!

What one thing would you change at DPC?

More space!! With all the amazing donations we receive there's just not enough room to put them all!

What are your hobbies?

I have 2 Beagles who love long walks in the park and 2 teenage children that keep me busy in other ways. I am a bit of a Soap addict and love catching up on them of an evening.

I also have a bit of an addiction to 'Irregular Choice' shoes!!  If you've been to the centre, then you've probably noticed I try to wear a different pair every day!

What is your favourite film?

Don't have one in particular, but like ones that can make me laugh.

What is your favourite food?

My all time favourite meal is steak, chips, peas and garlic mushrooms - and not forgetting the peppercorn sauce!!

What is your favourite holiday destination?

Anywhere that's hot and has a beach or pool.

What is your favourite book?

I really enjoyed reading the Harry Potter books.

What makes you laugh?

My husband when he tells me he'll only be playing his guitar for 10 minutes - more like 3 hours!!!

What are you looking forward to in your new role?

Getting to know everyone better and helping to organise the events for 2020!

Jodie will be taking on a challenge next July to raise money for SmileForJoel - she'll be taking a 10,000ft free fall sky dive at Whitchurch Airfield in Shropshire!!

Smile for Joel was founded by Suzanne Richards, who lost her son, brother and father in the terrorist attack in Tunisia in June 2015. The charity supports and helps shattered/broken families who are victims of traumatic bereavement through homicide. They give direct to families the support that they desperately need. This support is very diverse, from time out for family breaks, special counselling, help with purchases of gifts or that special gift to a family to show them someone does care.

Jodie will be collecting sponsors over the coming months so please give generously to a very good cause - or you can go to her Just Giving page:
